Christmas Wreaths for Our Last Day!
We did it! 10 days of creative Christmas projects on our Stamp & Ink Designs Group on Facebook. I am so proud of everyone that played along. We all received some really good ideas and inspiration from this group activity. And, if you missed it and would like to play along, join my group here:
For our last day of the creative challenge, it’s all about wreaths. I have a 3-layered wreath to show you and it’s from the Cottage Wreaths Bundle. Did you also notice the neat embossing on my Soft Sea Foam Cardstock layer? I embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and colored a few of the embossed leaves with Soft Sea Foam Ink using a Water Painter:
Card Products:
- Stamps: Cottage Wreaths
- Cardstock: Early Espresso, Real Red, Soft Sea Foam, Basic White, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand
- Inks: Real Red, Soft Sea Foam
- Tools & Accessories: Country Wreaths Dies, Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder, Water Painters, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Layering Circles Dies
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Early Espresso Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Real Red Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″. Emboss with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Use a Water Painter and Soft Sea Foam Ink to color a few leaves. Glue to card front.
- Wreath: Follow these steps:
- Basic White Cardstock: Cut a circle using the 2nd smallest circle from the Layering Circles Dies. Set aside.
- Bottom Wreath: Early Espresso Cardstock cut with the non-detailed wreath die. Glue the white circle to the back. Stamp the sentiment in the center using Real Red Ink.
- Middle Wreath: Crumb Cake Cardstock with the detailed die (the one where the leaves will pop up). Glue to Early Espresso wreath.
- Top Wreath: Sahara Sand Cardstock cut with the detailed die. Glue to the top of the wreath layers.
- Bow: Cut one bow with the die and Real Red Cardstock. Glue to the bottom right of the wreath.
- Bling: Add Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the wreath.
- Glue wreath to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
