We Want To See Some Green!
Green tones are a favorite to use by most on their Christmas cards. Is it one of your go-to’s? I used two greens on this card but it actually looks like three greens because of “stamping off”. What is stamping off? It’s when you ink up a stamp image and stamp twice without reinking. The result is a dark color followed by a lighter color. Such as my trees:
Each time I inked up my tree image with Shaded Spruce Ink, I stamped twice. It’s a neat and easy way to add more colors. We are at Day 8 of 10 of my Stamp & Ink Designs group Christmas Challenge. We are having a blast on this Facebook group page. Join in on the fun!
For today’s card, I chose to use the Peaceful Deer stamp set with the coordinating Deer Builder Punch. Of course, the punch only cuts out the standing deer image so yes, I hand-cut all of the other critters. Fussy cutting is something I love to do. It’s so relaxing. Others may tell you differently. I know some that hate fussy cutting!
