Good morning friends! Today is Day #2 of my 12 Days of Christmas. If you missed yesterday’s post, scroll down to view Day #1.
I just love all that you can create with the Petal Cone Die. I created a Santa Goodie Box this time with a matching card:
I saw a triangle Santa similar to this in a paper-crafting magazine and thought…hmmm, I can make that with the Petal Cone along with some punches:
I added a little bit of Stampin’ Pastels to his cheeks to make them rosy and some white squiggles on his eyeballs for some shine:
Punches Used:
- Scallop Oval Punch
- Bird Punch
- Large Scallop Circle Punch
- Small Oval Punch
- Stocking Builder Punch
- 1/2″ Circle Punch
- Hand-held 1/4″ Circle Punch
- Postage Stamp Punch
- Small Square Punch
And the matching card. All the same punches were used and for the background layer, I used Real Red Cardstock:
Followed by the Scallop Oval Die embossed with the Houndstooth Textured Impressions Folder and I lightly sponged Basic Black Ink on the embossing. The sentiment is stamped on Real Red Cardstock in Basic Black Ink and cut out with the Decorative Label Punch. How about that cute little belt at the bottom of the card. Just glue some 1/2″ Scallop Dots Ribbon in Basic Black on the reverse side with no dots, and add a Silver Glimmer Paper cut with the Small Oval Punch and 1/2″ Circle Punch in the center. TIP: cut the 1/2″ Circle Punch first then center the hole in the Small Oval Punch . Glue on top of the ribbon!
Stay tuned tomorrow for Day #2 of my 12 Days of Christmas!

Ummm, this is too cute. This idea will have to maybe wait for the right person but I sure like it! Thanks for all the great inspiration! I adore punch art for getting more bang for the buck since these punches are getting kinda pricey! Happy holidays!
