It’s Go Green This Week!
Welcome to our weekly Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary. This week, in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, we are “going green”. I had a little lightbulb moment when I decided my card needed some gold to go with the green rainbow. The little coins you see mixed in with the clouds are from the diecut buttons from the Suit & Tie Dies. What I love about them is that you can cut six at one time!
I combined the Rainbow Of Happiness Bundle, Suit & Tie Dies and the Symbols Of Fortune Designer Paper for my pretty card. Here are a few more photos of the layers and details:
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Garden Green 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″ Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Symbols Of Fortune Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Glue to card front.
- Layer #4: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/2″ x 3″. Stamp the rainbow using Granny Apple Green and Garden Green Inks about 1/2″ from the top. Set aside.
- Clouds: Cut a total of 8 clouds with the dies and glue some flat and some with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Buttons: Use the button die from Suit & Tie Dies and cut lots of buttons using Gold Foil Sheets. Glue among the clouds as shown in the photos.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock using Garden Green Ink. Cut close to the lettering and create two pieces. Glue to the top left of the rainbow using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Hearts: Stamp the heart image a few times around the rainbow using Garden Green Ink.
- Glue white layer to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
