Country Christmas!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! I have a stack of cards to show you today for our Country Christmas. I’m hoping my local girls won’t see my post first thing this morning. I’m having a gathering that starts a 9:30 a.m. and these are swap cards that I created for our gathering:
I used the Christmas Barn & Barn Dies and added so many layers. I just adore this barn bundle because in Maine where I live, it’s farming country so this was perfect to use. You can see how I colored the barn to make it rustic looking:
And here are all of my swap cards, all 10 of them!
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Christmas Barn, Soft Seedlings
- Inks: Basic Gray, Real Red, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Gray Granite, VersaMark
- Cardstock: Gray Granite, Basic Gray, Basic White, Real Red
- Designer Paper: Boughs Of Holly
- Tools & Accessories: Barn Dies, Fancy Frames Dies, Heat Tool, Black Embossing Powder, Water Painters
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Gray Granite Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Real Red Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card front.
- Layer #3: Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper 4-1/2″ x 3″. Glue to card front about 1/2″ from the left edge and centered vertically.
- Layer #4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the Fancy Frames Dies. Glue over the designer paper.
- Layer #5: Gray Granite Cardstock 1″ x 2-1/2″. Stamp the sentiment from the Soft Seedlings stamp set using Basic Gray Ink. Cut the left end into a banner shape. Glue to the right side of the card about 1-1/2″ from the top.
- Trees: Stamp two trees on Basic White Cardstock with Old Olive Ink and without reinking. Cut with the die and glue layered, to the bottom left about 1″ from the bottom.
- Fence: Use the fence die with Basic Gray Cardstock and glue in front of the trees.
- Barn: Stamp the barn on Basic White Cardstock using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with Black Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Use Water Painters to color with Real Red, Soft Suede and Gray Granite Inks. Cut with the barn die and glue to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Silos: Use Gray Granite and Basic Gray Cardstock to cut one each with the silo die. Glue tucked behind the barn and layered.
