Favorite New Mini Catalog Designer Paper!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! This week we are all using our favorite designer paper from the Mini Catalog. I love patterns over anything overly busy and I chose to show you the Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ Designer Paper. It comes in four colors: Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet. I used two patterns on my card today:
The Cane Weave Embossing Folder is so beautiful on my card front and I added a 2-step stamped image from the Beautifully Happy stamp set that you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration. I stamped in black first and filled in the lined image with color:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Beautifully Happy
- Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sorbet
- Cardstock: Country Gingham
- Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet, Basic Black, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Cane Weave Embossing Folder, Iridescent Pastel Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Sweet Sorbet Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″. Emboss the front with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder.
- Layer #2: Basic Black Cardstock 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″. Glue to card front 1/4″ from the left edge.
- Layer #3: Country Gingham Designer Paper 4-1/4″ x 3″. Glue to black layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer #4: Country Gingham Designer Paper 4-1/4″ x 1″. Glue to the bottom of the designer paper layer.
- Layer #5: Basic Black Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 1/4″. Glue to the top of the 1″ designer paper strip.
- Stamped Image: Stamp the flower image on Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Stamp the inside of the flowers with Sweet Sorbet Ink and the leaves with Mint Macaron Ink. Handcut and glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Iridescent Pastel Gems to the center of the flower.
