Happy Birthday Theme!
Good evening and welcome to a March Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. I used some pretty products to create a card for our birthday theme this month. Check it out:
I created a little dessert window shopping experience using the Share A Milkshake Bundle and even added a triple valance at the top of the window on the inside using the Basic Borders Dies and Country Gingham Designer Paper.
I love all of the dies that are included in the set, espeically the diecut grid background that you see behind those luscious desserts:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Share A Milkshake
- Inks: Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate
- Cardstock: Sweet Sorbet, Basic White, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate
- Designer Paper: Country Gingham
- Tools & Accessories: Share A Milkshake Dies, Basic Border Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Sweet Sorbet Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Country Gingham Designer Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″. Glue to card front centered.
- Grid Diecut: Cut the grid with the die and Smoky Slate Cardstock. Glue to the center of the white layer.
- Layer #4: Soft Suede Cardstock cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies 4-3/4″ x 3-3/8″ and nest the smaller size 4″ x 2-5/8″ on the inside to cut a frame. Set aside.
- Valance Layers: Use the Country Gingham Designer Paper to cut three colors with the Basic Borders Dies. Glue layer to the inside of the frame on the backside. Glue frame to card front over the white layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Desserts: Create the three desserts with the stamped images using Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink, Balmy Blue and Smoky Slate Inks. Cut with the dies and assemble. Glue to the inside of the window with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock with Sweet Sorbet Ink. Cut close to the lettering and glue to frame on the right.
