For The Kids Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! We all love our kids and grandkids and if you are like me, love creating cards for them. This week we are all creating for kids!
I used the Playing In The Rain Bundle for my card today:
The images were so much fun to color and I added an ink wash to the background with Water Painters:
I wanted to create a kid-friendly scenery with the cute turtle image and added a sentiment from the Easter Bunny stamp set. Follow along here:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Playing In The Rain, Easter Bunny
- Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento, Parakeet Party, Boho Blue
- Blends: Parakeet Party, Boho Blue, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Shaded Spruce
- Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Bais White, Boho Blue
- Designer Paper: 2023-2025 In Color
- Tools & Accessories: Radiating Stitches, Playing In The Rain Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Water Painters, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: 2023-2025 In Color Designer Paper (boho blue) 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock cut with the Radiating Stitches Dies and follow these steps:
- Use a Water Painter and Parakeet Party Ink to add grass to the background about 1″ high.
- Use a Water Painter and Boho Blue Ink to add the sky above the grass.
- Stamp the sentiment on Boho Blue Cardstock 2-3/4″ x 1/2″ with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Trim the left end into a banner shape. Glue about 1″ from the top and even with the right edge using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the three clouds with Tuxedo Black Ink and add tiny highlights with the Boho Blue Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die and glue with Stampin’ Dimensionals at the top.
- Stamp the turtle image with Tuxedo Black Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die and glue to the left using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the flowers image twice with Tuxedo Black Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die and glue to the left of the turtle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Glue layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
