CASING Debbie Henderson Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! Yes, you read that right! Our team is casing ME this week! I loved this bright and cheerful card that I created a little bit ago and decided to case it!
I wanted to turn the colors and layout of this card to a fall-themed card. As stampers we can use any colors we want at any time, just because!
I love how the large leaf image from the Cheers To The Season stamp set is all splotchy and then you have the detailed sentiment that is included in the image. I white-embossed as a background layer and then as a single leaf:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Cheers To The Season
- Inks: VersaMark
- Cardstock: Tahitian Tide, Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist
- Tools & Accessories: Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders (white), Ribbon Duo Combo Pack, Bough Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lemon Lime Twist 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Tahitian Tide Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic Black Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Stamp the leaf image repeatedly using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white Embossing Powder and melt with a Heat Tool. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Ribbon: Wrap the ribbon around the card front twice and tie into a bow at the left.
- Sentiment: Stamp the leaf image on Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white Embossing Powder and melt with a Heat Tool. Cut the shape with Paper Snips. Glue the leaf on Tahitian Tide Cardstock and cut again with Paper Snips, leaving about 1/8″ around the outside edges. Glue leaf over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Branches: Use the Bough Punch with Lemon Lime Twist and Tahitian Tide Cardstocks. Cut branches with the punch. Tuck and glue under the leaf at the top left.
