Snowy Days Is Our Theme This Month!
Welcome to our Stampers Dozen January Blog Hop! This month our theme is Snowy Days and I thought adding a snowy white background and the bird image from the Perched In A Tree Bundle was perfect. I even added a few snowflakes in the mix:
Once my snowflakes were diecut, I colored them with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush and I also used a Blender Pen to spread the ink from my bird:
Here’s the how-to and Stampin’ Up! products I used:
Products:
- Stamps: Perched In A Tree, Season Of Chic
- Inks: Night Of Navy, VersaMark
- Cardstock: Night Of Navy, Balmy Blue, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Aspen Tree Dies, Chic Dies, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Basics Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Blender Pens
Recipe:
- Card Base: Night Of Navy Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Balmy Blue Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Cut with the large background die from the Aspen Tree Dies. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink on Night Of Navy Cardstock 3-3/4″ x 1″. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with a Heat Tool. Glue about 1″ from the bottom.
- Bird: Stamp the bird image with Night Of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Use a Blender Pen to color with the inked lines. Cut bird with the die. Glue and tuck the bird at the left and under the sentiment.
- Snowflakes: Cut (3) snowflakes with the Chic Dies and Basic White Cardstock. Color with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Glue to card front.
- Bling: Add Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the background.
