A Sketch Challenge This Week!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary . I hope you are having a great week. For our team challenge this week, we are all using the sketch above and this is what I came up with:
Did you spy the new Paper Butterfly Accents from our Mini Catalog? They are all diecut and ready for you to add to your projects like I did on my card today!
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Painted Lavender, Charming Sentiments
- Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Highland Heather
- Designer Paper: Perennial Lavender
- Inks: Shaded Spruce, Highland Heather
- Tools & Accessories: Paper Butterfly Accents, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Shaded Spruce 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Perennial Lavender Designer Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: (3) pieces Perennial Lavender Designer Paper 3-1/2″ x 1″. Glue starting 1/2″ from the left and leaving 1/8″ inbetween each strip.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/2″ x 2-5/8″. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 5: Crumb Cake Cardstock 4-3/8″ x 2-3/8″. Stamp the bottom with the branch image repeatedly across using Shaded Spruce Ink. Glue to white layer.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock 3″ x 5/8″ with Highland Heather Ink. Cut the right end into a banner shape with Paper Snips. Glue to the left side of the Crumb Cake layer.
- Branches: Diecut (2) of the large branch with Shaded Spruce Cardstock. Glue to the right of the sentiment.
- Branches: Diecut (2) of the smaller branch with Highland Heather Cardstock. Glue over the Shaded Spruce branches.
- Ribbon: Tie a bow with the Orchid Oasis Woven Metallic Ribbon and glue to the bottom of the branches.
- Butterfly: Glue (1) Paper Butterfly Accents above the sentiment.
- Bling: Add Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the Crumb Cake background.
