Sketch Challenge This Week!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary. I love using sketches to form the layers to a project. When I first started stamping, sketches were my go-to. Here’s what I did with this weeks challenge:
I coordinated the stamped image from the Inspirational Sketches stamp set with the Softly Stippled Designer Paper from Sale-A-Bration. The main color used is Wild Wheat:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Inspirational Sketches
- Cardstock: Thick Basic White, Basic White, Wild Wheat
- Designer Paper: Softly Stippled
- Inks: Wild Wheat, Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends
- Tools & Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Softly Stippled Designer Paper 4″ x 4″. Glue to card front at an angle.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″. Stamp the flower image at the very top with Wild Wheat Ink. Color the center of each flower with the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. Set aside.
- Layer 4: Softly Stippled Designer Paper 2-1/2″ x 1-1/4″. Glue to the bottom of the white layer. Glue layer to card front at the left and at an angle.
- Layer 5: Wild Wheat Cardstock 2-3/4″ x 3/4″. Stamp the sentiment with Wild Wheat Ink. Set aside.
- Layer 6: Basic White Cardstock 3-3/8″ x 1/4″. Glue to the underside of the Wild Wheat Cardstock layer. Glue Wild Wheat layer to card front over the designer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
