Our Theme This Month Is Fun Folds!
Welcome to a March Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! I hope you will enjoy the projects from myself and my teammates today. We are all featuring Fancy Folds. I used some not-so-normal colors for an Easter card and created a Gate Fold Card with a Belly Band:
I started my card out by picking my designer paper pattern first and then coordinated the Easter layers. The stamp bundle I used is from the Easter Lilies stamp set. Isn’t the flower and single leaf gorgeous?
I also colored the leaf with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush for some sparkle. The sentiment was cut with Paper Snips and I cut very close to all of the letters to give it a unique shape:
Here are the steps to my card and belly band:
Card:
- Card Base: Petal Pink Cardstock 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”. Score and fold at 2-1/8” on each end.
- Layer #2: (2) Garden Walk Designer Paper pieces 5-1/4” x 1-7/8”. Glue to each front flap.
Belly Band:
- Petal Pink Cardstock 11” x 1-1/2”. Wrap around card front and fold on the ends. Glue the ends overlapping each other. Cut excess. Make sure it is loose enough to pull off and on.
- Circle Layers: Cut (1) with Petal Pink Cardstock and the 2-3/8” Circle Punch. Glue to bellyband in the center. Add a Basic White Cardstock circle cut with the 2” Circle Punch.
- Leaf: Stamp the large leaf on Parakeet Party Cardstock with Parakeet Party Ink. Cut with the die. Color with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Glue leaf to the bottom of the circle layer on the left.
- Flower: Stamp the flower image on Basic White Cardstock with Pool Party Ink. Cut with the die. Glue to circle at the bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Pool Party Cardstock with Sweet Sorbet Ink. Cut close to the lettering with Paper Snips. Glue to flower.
