Nature Is Our Theme For April!
Good morning and welcome to Creatively Simple! Each week Connie and I will create a simple card using a theme for Create With Stamping Friends. This month is all about nature:
And this is the card I created:
On this project, I let the designer paper steer me to with this simple card and to the colors I used. I didn’t want to cover the pretty patterned designs too much so opted for two simple layers:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Painted Lavender, Blueberry Bunches
- Inks: Shaded Spruce, Highland Heather
- Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Perennial Lavender
- Tools & Accessories: Painted Lavender Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Crumb Cake Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Perennial Lavender Designer Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Cut on the long end at 2″. Flip one side over. Glue both pieces to card base.
- Layer 3: Perennial Lavender Designer Paper 4″ x 1/2″. Glue where the two designer paper patterns meet.
- Layer 4: Perennial Lavender Designer Paper cut with the 2-3/4″ square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue to card front flat and turned diamond shape.
- Layer 5: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 2-3/4″ square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Stamp the flowered image with Highland Heather Ink twice without reinking for a light and dark color. Repeat across. Stamp the branch image several times with Shaded Spruce Ink. Stamp the sentiment at the top with Shaded Spruce Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels among the flowers on the white layer.
