Spring Has Sprung Theme!
Hello and welcome to our Spring Has Sprung Stampers Dozen Blog Hop. Is it spring in your neck of the woods yet? Here in Maine, we received three snow storms at the end of March totalling over 42″ of snow! So yes, we still have snow on the ground.
I like that our theme is spring and I used some pretty flowers from our Simply Zinnia’s Suite from our Online Exclusives. It has been a popular collection.
The pretty designer paper pattern really makes the black-embossed images, bling and cardstock pop. I colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Simply Zinnia
- Inks: VerarMark
- Stampin’ Blends: Coastal Cabana, Soft Sea Foam, Calypso Coral
- Cardstock: Basic Black Calyso Coral, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Lighter Than Air
- Tools & Accessories: Simply Zinnia Dies, Classic Matte Dots, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Calypso Coral Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Lighter Than Air Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Glue to card front.j
- Flower: Stamp the large flower image on Basic White Cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with black embossing powder. Melt the powder with a Heat Tool. Cut with the die and glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimenisonals.
- Layer #4: Basic Black Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 3/4″. Stamp the sentiment with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Glue about 1″ from the bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Classic Matte Dots to the background.
