Summer Theme With Bees!
Good Morning and welcome to a summer theme for Creatively Simple at Create With Stamping Friends! Connie and I have some great projects to show you today!
I used the Bee My Valentine stamp set and Bee Builder Punch to create this cute and simple card this week:
I wanted to include a beehive so I opted to use the die from Garden Meadow Dies and then embossed the diecut with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Bee My Valentine
- Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento, Pool Party
- Cardstock: Basic Black, Basic White, Lemon Lolly
- Designer Paper: 2024-2026 In Color
- Tools & Accessories: Bee Builder Punch, Garden Meadow Dies, Cane Weave Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals. Blender Pens
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/2 x 3-3/4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: 2024-206 In Color Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 3-1/2. Glue to card front.
- Hive: Lemon Lolly Cardstock-Follow these steps:
- Cut with the Garden Meadow Dies.
- Stamp the sentiment at the bottom with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
- Emboss with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder.
- Cut an oval with the Bee Builder Punch and glue above the sentiment.
- Glue hive to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bees: (create 2) as follows:
- Body: Stamp stripes with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Lemon Lolly Cardstock.
- Cut with the punch.
- Stamp the faces with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
- Stamp the wings on Basic White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
- Add Pool Party Ink highlights with a Blender Pen.
- Cut with the punch.
- Glue behind the body.
- Glue bees to hive with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
