It’s A Sketch Challenge!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . Our team just finished up a whole month of Case The Catalog Challenges and now we are back to our weekly sketch and color challenges. This is the sketch we are using this week:
I used lots of designer paper layers on this week’s card. The mix of Wildly Flowering Designer Paper, Country Woods Designer Paper and Meandering Meadows Designer Paper works well together:
I opted to substiture the oval shape on the sketch to Deckled Rectangles Dies shapes. I love the colors on the scenery layer and noticed just a small pop of Fresh Freesia so decided to layer with that color.
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Layers Of Beauty
- Cardstock: Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lime Twist
- Designer Paper: Wildly Flowering, Meandering Meadows, Country Woods
- Inks: Misty Moonlight
- Tools & Accessories: Deckled Rectangles Dies, Opal Rounds, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Fresh Freesia Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Country Woods Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Set aside.
- Layer 3: Wildly Flowering Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 2. Cut at an angle at the bottom from the 2″ left corner to 1″ on the right. Glue to the Country Woods Designer Paper even at the top. Set aside.
- Trim: Glue the trim where the two designer papers meet. Wrap and glue to the back. Glue layer to card front flat.
- Layer 4: Fresh Freesia Cardstock cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies 4-1/4 x 3. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 5: Meandering Meadows Designer Paper cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies 3-7/8 x 2-5/8. Glue flat.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Misty Moonlight Ink on Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 3-1/4 x 1/2. Glue to card front at the right.
- Bling: Add Opal Rounds to the County Woods Designer Paper layer.
