Latch Card Folds!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. Have you ever created a Latch Card? That’s what our Design Team is featuring this week for our blog hop. Here’s mine:
I added my latch on the right-hand side. It’s a little flap that tucks under the flower to keep it closed:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Translucent Florals
- Inks: Petunia Pop, Shy Shamrock
- Cardstock: Peach Pie, Basic White
- Designer Paper: 2024-2026 In Color
- Tools & Accessories: Translucent Florals Dies, 2024-2026 Resin Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Peach Pie Cardstock 10-3/4 x 5-1/2. Score at 4″ & 8-1/4. Use a paper trimmer on the 2-1/2″ scored section and make two cuts on the 5-1/2″ side at 1-1/2″ on both ends up to the score line. Cut off the top and bottom sections up to the score line. This is the latch part. On the center section that is uncut, trim into a banner shape.
- Inside Layer: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to inside.
- Front Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 3-3/4. Glue to front section.
- Front Layer 3: 2024-2026 In Color Designer Paper 5 x 3-1/2. Glue to front.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Shy Shamrock Ink on Peach Pie Cardstock 2-1/4 x 1/2. Glue to the bottom right corner on the designer paper flat.
- Large Leaf: Stamp 2 large leaves on Basic White Cardstock with Shy Shamrock Ink. Cut with the die. Glue one leaf to the inside of the card. Glue the 2nd leaf to the latch front.
- Flowers: Stamp the two flower images on Basic White Cardstock with Petunia Pop Ink. Cut with the dies. Glue the larger flower on the latch front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Fold the latch section to the front of the card. Glue the smaller flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals slightly over the latch to hold it closed.
- Small Leaf: Stamp 2 small leaves on Basic White Cardstock with Shy Shamrock Ink. Cut with the die. Tuck one leaf under each flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add 2024-2026 Resin Dots to the designer paper background.
