Scenic Is Our August Theme!
Hello and welcome to Creatively Simple at Create With Stamping Friends. Connie and I have been busy creating simple cards this month using this theme:
Most of you know I live in Maine and that our state is one of the most scenic during the fall months. We actually have a Leaf Peeping website for the state that tells you when the peek season is and where to view the beautiful fall colors. That’s what my card is all about today:
The Frosted Forest Bundle makes pretty trees using layering masks. I used three of the masks over the stamped tree to achieve my fall foliage colors:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Frosted Forest
- Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso
- Cardstock: Basic White, Basic Beige, Early Espresso
- Stampin’ Blends: Bronze
- Designer Paper: Nests Of Winter
- Tools & Accessories: Deckled Rectangles Dies, Blending Brushes, Frosted Forest Dies, Frosted Forest Decorative Masks, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Blender Pens
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Beige Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Nests Of Winter Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Early Espresso Cardstock cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies 3-7/8 x 2-5/8. Glue to card front about 3/4″ from the left edge with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Tree: Follow these steps:
- Stamp the tree image on Basic Beige Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink.
- Color the truck and branches with the Bronze Stampin’ Blends.
- Use the 1st stencil to add Daffodil Delight Ink with a Blending Brush.
- Use the 2nd stencil to add Pumpkin Pie Ink with a Blending Brush.
- Use the 3rd stencil to add Old Olive Ink with a Blending Brush.
- Cut with the die.
- Glue to card front on the rectangle flat.
- Bird: Stamp the bird image on Basic Beige Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. Color with the inked lines using a Blender Pen. Glue to the top left corner of the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic Beige Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. Cut with the 2-3/8 x 1 Deckled Rectangles Dies. Glue to card front.
