Pleated Paper Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Stamping Friends. It’s all about PLEATS today for our theme and I created a neat pleated layer on the front of my card:
The designer paper layer that the bird is sitting on is the pleated layer. You can see more of the pleats in this photo:
First I’ll list all of the products I used and show you the measurements of the first few layers. I will follow that with photos of each step for the pleated layer.

- Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to the underside of both the 1st and the last sections as shown in photo 3.
- Remove the backings off of all Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front side of the designer paper and fold accordion style.
- Remove the backings off of all Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back side of the designer paper and press onto itself as you fold over
- Photo 4 shows you what the pleated layer looks like when assembled.
- Glue to card front in the center of the Basic Gray layer.
- Stamp the sentiment with Basic Gray Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Cut with the Modern Oval Punch. Add liquid glue to the bumps on each pleat as shown in Photo 5. Press the sentiment in place.
- Stamp the bird image on Basic White Cardstock with Basic Gray Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the die and glue to the top of the sentiment.
