Changing Leaves!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . It’s fall, it’s autumn and it’s pretty colors this week for our challenge:
I have lots and lots of leaves to show you. Some are stamped, some are diecut and some are dry embossed and sanded!
Did I say sanded? Yes I did! After I embossed my leaves on the designer paper layer with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder, I kept the cardstock in place inside the embossing folder and used a sanding black to sand the “bumps”. Our designer papers are always white core so that means white will show up when sanded. Here are a few more photos:

Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Mossy Meadow Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Emboss with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder. Keep the cardstock inside the folder and rub the bumps with a sanding black or sand paper. Glue to card front.
- Layer 3: Cut the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies with Mossy Meadow Cardstock. Snip off one side flat so the circle is 2-1/4″ wide. Glue to the left side of the designer paper.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock with Mossy Meadow Ink. Cut with the label shape die. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Leaves: As follows:
- (1) stamped leaf with Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Use the inked lines to color with a Blender Pen. Glue with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- (2) larger leaves with Cajun Craze Cardstock and the die. Tuck and glue under the stamped leaf.
- (3) smaller leaves cut with the die and Wild Wheat Cardstock. Tuck and glue around the stamped leaf.
- (2) branches with the die and Basic White Cardstock. Tuck and glue above and below the stamped leaf.
- Bling: Add Faux Glass Dots in all three colors to the background.
- Ribbon: Tie a knot with the ribbon. Trim the ends at an angle. Glue to the bottom of the stamped leaf.
