A Christmas Theme With Sophisticated Sled!

Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:

I chose my colors by picking a designer paper pattern from the Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper. Although this package of designer paper is non-Christmas, the Blackberry Bliss color looks fabulous with all of my layers:

I used Blackberry Bliss Ink on the skates and used the inked lines with a Blender Pen to spread the color. I then added a layer of Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush and oh does it sparkle!

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

• Stamps: Sophisticated Sled
• Inks: Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia
• Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Pecan Pie
• Designer Paper: Thoughtful Journey
• Tools & Accessories: Sophisticated Sled Dies, Blender Pen, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Card Recipe:

• Card Base: Very Vanilla 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
• Layer 2: Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Glue to card base.
• Layer 3: Very Vanilla Cardstock 4 x 2-3/4. Stamp the large snowflake image in the center with Fresh Freesia Ink. Glue at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Sled: Cut the two sled pieces with the die and Pecan Pie Cardstock. Glue over the snowflakes at an angle to the left.
• Boughs: Cut boughs with the die and Blackberry Bliss and Fresh Freesia Cardstocks. Layer both to the sled at the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Skates: Stamp the skates image on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Use a Blender Pen to spread the inked lines on the skates. Allow to dry and color the skates with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Cut with the die and glue over the boughs with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Fresh Freesia Cardstock 1-7/8 x 5/8. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
