Birthday Bash Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! Birthday cards are one of the most popular created themes along with Christmas, when it comes to papercrafting. This is the birthday card I created for our Birthday Bash theme this week:
I used the Beautiful Balloons Bundle and as the title indicates, this bundle makes beautiful cards! I love the assortment of sizes with the diecut balloons and the addition of the diecut star too:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Beautiful Balloons
- Designer Paper: Fresh As A Daisy
- Inks: Pretty Peacock, Garden Green, Bubble Bath
- Cardstock: Pretty Peacock, Garden Green, Bubble Bath, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Beautiful Balloons Dies, Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Bubble Bath Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Fresh As A Design Designer Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to the card base at an angle.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the 3 streamer images at the top using the three ink colors and overlapping them.
- Stamp the large balloon image below the streamers and to the left with Garden Green Ink stamped on scrap paper first for a lighter image.
- Stamp the confetti image inside the stamped balloon with Garden Green Ink.
- Stamp the balloon strings with Pretty Peacock Ink.
- Cut out the balloons and star shapes with the diecuts using the three cardstock colors.
- Glue the star and 2 small balloons with Stampin’ Dimensionals lining up the balloon strings.
- Stamp the sentiment on the medium balloon with Pretty Peacock Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add bling to the background.
- Glue layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
