Blue Theme Song!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! Blue is my favorite color even though my closet is full of black clothing. This week we are all creating with the song theme “Blue” by LeAnn Rimes. All of my layers are blue but, I just had to add a splash of red with my tiny heart:
I love that the Country Bouquet stamp set and punch carried over from our last Mini Catalog. Although it was part of our Valentine’s offering, these images can be used anytime. Check out my layers:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Country Bouquet
- Inks: Real Red, Boho Blue, Night Of Navy
- Cardstock: Night Of Navy, Basic White Vellum
- Designer Paper: Countryside Inn
- Tools & Accessories: Country Bouquet Punch, Iridescent Pastel Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stylish Shapes Dies
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Night Of Navy Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Countryside Inn Designer Paper 4-1/4″ x 3″. Glue to card base centered.
- Layer 3: Vellum Cardstock cut with the 2-5/8″ circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Cut a small piece off one end to make it flat. Glue to designer paper even with the left edge.
- Layer 4: Countryside Inn Designer Paper 3-3/4″ x 3/4″. Glue about 1-3/8″ from the bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Hearts: Stamp and cut the hearts with the punch as follows:
- Lined Heart: Night Of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock
- Bold Heart: Boho Blue Ink on Basic White Cardstock
- Small Heart: Real Red Ink on Basic White Cardstock
- Glue the 2 large hearts with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Glue to small heart flat.
- Sentiment: Stamp on Basic White Cardstock with Night Of Navy Ink. Cut close to the wording with a Paper Trimmer. Glue with Stampin’ Dimensionals layered over the heart.
- Bling: Add Iridescent Pastel Gems to the designer paper background and one to the lined heart shape.
