Fall Colors Theme!
Hello Everyone! It’s a new month and we are all celebrating Fall Colors today! Fall is my favorite time of year for many reasons, but the main reason are for sure the beautiful colors. These are the colors I picked for today’s blog hop with my teammates for Create with Connie & Mary:
The Christmas Season and Delivering Cheer stamp sets work well together to complete my card. I especially love the 2-step pinecones that I created and glued vertically. Using Early Espresso both times but stamping the first image on scrap paper first, to achieve a lighter color.
Follow along by using these steps:
- Card Base: Early Espresso Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Mango Melody Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Basic White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″ and follow these steps:
- Stamp the sentiment in the lower right-hand corner using Early Espresso Ink from the Delivering Cheer stamp set.
- Branch image #1: Stamp the first branch image repeatedly using Granny Apple Green Ink around the edges.
- Branch image #2: Stamp the second branch image repeatedly using Flirty Flamingo Ink, overlapping on some on the first images.
- Branch image #3: Stamp the third branch image repeatedly using Mango Melody Ink, overlapping on the other images that have already been stamped.
- Glue cardstock to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Pinecones: Using both pinecone images and stamp as follows:
- Stamp the bolder image using Early Espresso Ink but stamp on scrap paper first and then on Basic White Cardstock for a lighter color. Repeat for a total of 3 pinecones.
- Stamp the detailed image using Early Espresso Ink over the first image.
- Cut with the die.
- Glue to card front vertically and angled opposite to each other using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: I added left-over bling from the Christmas Whimsy kit that I had on hand to finish off my pinecones.
