Easter Parade Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! It’s an Easter Parade this week for our blog hop team. I created this pretty card using the Easter Lilies Bundle:
What I love the most about this bundle is having a choice of stamping the lilies or diecutting them like I did here with some detailed dies. I sponged over the detail with Blending Brushes to make the diecut layers pop:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Easter Lilies
- Inks: Old Olive, Coastal Cabana
- Cardstock: Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Easter Lilies Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Blending Brushes, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush, Blooming Pearls
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Coastal Cabana Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Old Olive Cardstock 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Follow these steps:
- Use a Blending Brush and Old Olive Ink to add a splash of color in the center.
- Stamp the fern image twice at the top left with Old Olive Ink.
- Stamp the sentiment at the bottom right with Coastal Cabana Ink.
- Glue to card front.
- Flower: Follow these steps:
- Cut (4) leaves with the die and Old Olive Cardstock.
- Use a Blending Brush to add Old Olive Ink to each leaf.
- Cut all three layers of the lily with Basic White Cardstock.
- Use a Blending Brush to add Coastal Cabana Ink to each lily layer.
- Layer and glue the three lily pieces to form the flower. The small piece is glued with Stampin’ Dimensionals for height.
- Cut the center of the flower with the die and Coastal Cabana Cardstock.
- Color the center of the flower with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.
- Tuck the center of the flower under the small lily petal.
- Glue flower to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Blooming Pearls to the background.
