Non-Traditional Christmas Colors Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! I let the One House Open Sleigh Designer Paper do all of the work for me this week with our non-traditional color theme for a Christmas card.
Here are a few close-ups of the details I used in my layers:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Trucking Along
- Inks: VersaMark, Night Of Navy, Black Stampin’ Blends, Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends
- Designer Paper: One Horse Open Sleigh
- Cardstock: Early Espresso, Basic White, Night Of Navy, Shaded Spruce
- Tools & Accessories: Deckled Circles Dies, 2-3/8″ Cirlce Punch, Trucking Along Punch, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powder, Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Early Espresso Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper 4-1/4″ x 3″. Glue to card front at an angle at the left.
- Layer 4: One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper 4-1/4″ x 3″. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals at an angle to the right.
- Layer 5: 2-3/8″ Circle Puncn with Early Espresso Cardstock. Glue to the left.
- Layer 6: Night Of Navy Cardstock cut with the 2″ Deckled Circles Dies. Glue to espresso circle.
- Truck: Stamp the truck image outline with Early Espresso Ink. Stamp the inside of the truck with Night Of Navy Ink on scrap paper first and inside the truck without reinking. Color the wheels with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Cut with the punch and glue to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Shaded Spruce Cardstock 2-1/4″ x 5/8″. with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
