Summer Lovin’ Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! One of my favorite things about summer are berries. I love picking strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. We have 6 blueberry plants on our property and I started 12 new strawberry plants this spring, that are now fully blossomed and growing wonderfully.
You can see that I used raspberries on my card today for our Summer Lovin’ theme:
Because the word together is included in the sentiment, I added two raspberries to insinuate two people! The Hello Kiwi stamp set and So Refreshing Bundle both have some great stamp images and dies to create some pretty cards. Look at the beautiful details:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: So Refreshing, Hello Kiwi
- Inks Berry Burst, Granny Apple Green
- Cardstock: Bubble Bath, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Bright & Beautiful
- Tools & Accessories: So Refreshing Dies, Countryside Corners Dies, Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Bubble Bath Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Set aside.
- Ribbon: Wrap the ribbon around Layer 3 twice and tie into a bow at the left. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the Countryside Corners Dies 4-1/2″ long. Stamp the sentiment at the top left with Berry Burst Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Diecuts & Stamped Images: Add the following to the card front:
- Blanket: Cut with the die and Bubble Bath Cardstock. Glue with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Branch: Stamp with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Cut with the die and glue to blanket.
- Raspberries: Stamp (2) raspberries with the lined image on Basic White Cardstock with Berry Burst Ink. Stamp the inside of the berries with Berry Burst Ink on scrap paper first and without inking, over the berry images. Hand-cut both berries with Paper Snips. Glue over the branch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Leaves: Stamp and diecut (5) sets of leaves with Granny Apple Green Ink using the lined image. Stamp the inside of the leaves with Granny Apple Green Ink on scrap paper first and without inking, over the leaf images. Glue tucked under the berries, some flat and some with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
