Texture Time Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! Before I show you my project for our weekly blog hop, I want to say congrats and good luck to Mary Brown. She has been part of Create with Connie & Mary for many, many years and is now retiring and planning on traveling with her hubby. I was graciously asked to take Mary’s spot as Connie’s partner so you’ll see some new things happening on my blog starting April 1st!
Our theme this week is texture! I added texture to my white layer by adding some embossing paste using the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and Embossing Paste. Once my paste was dry, I used a Blending Brush to add Lost Lagoon Ink over the paste:

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Stippled Roses
- Inks: Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock
- Cardstock: Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Inked Botanicals
- Tools & Accessories: Deckled Circles Dies, Stippled Roses Dies, Artistic Mix Decorative Masks, Palette Knives, Embossing Paste, Blending Brushes, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pretty Peacock Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Lost Lagoon Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Inked Botanicals Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 4-1/4″ Deckled Circles Dies. Chop off about 1″ on one side to make it flat. Spread Embossing Paste with a Palette Knife over the mask. Allow to dry. Once dry, use a Blending Brush to add Lost Lagoon Ink over the embossing paste. Glue even to the left side of the designer paper on the card front.
- Layer 5: Stamp the large flower image on Basic White Cardstock with Pretty Peacock Ink. Cut with the die. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Branches: Cut three different branches with the dies and Lost Lagoon Cardstock. Tuck and glue under the stippled flowers.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Granny Apple Green Cardstock 3-3/4″ x 3/8″ with Pretty Peacock Ink. Glue to card front over the flower.
- Bling: Add Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins to the background.
