Vanilla & Gold Christmas Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! I don’t know what it is about white or vanilla cards but they always seem to turn out so elegant looking. Our theme today vanisilla & gold and although this is a simple card, look how elegant it is:
The Gold Embossing Powder I used from the Metallics Embossing Powders looks so pretty doesn’t it? I have three layers that sport the embossing. Do you like the way I stamped my sentiment vertically?
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Winter Owls
- Inks: VersaMark
- Cardstock: Very Vanilla
- Tools & Accessories: Metallics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool, Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Very Vanilla Cardstock 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″. Stamp the branch image repeatedly and sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder. Use the Heat Tool to melt the powder. Glue to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Tags: Cut (1) tag using the 3-1/4″ long Tailor Made Tags with Very Vanilla Cardstock and the next size smaller. Stamp the sentiment vertically to the left side of one tag with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder. Use the Heat Tool to melt the powder. Layer the two tags together and tie with the Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon tied into a knot. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Branch: Cut (1) branch with the die and Very Vanilla Cardstock. Glue to the tag on the front at the bottom.
- Owl: Stamp the owl with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder. Use the Heat Tool to melt the powder. Cut with the die and glue to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
