CASING Cindy Elam!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary. Our team continues casing one of our own team designers and this week is Cindy Elam. I browsed her blog recently and picked this card to copy:
You can see that Cindy created a card with mostly blue tones. She used Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue with a little bit of Basic White. For my card, I choose to use the Countryside Inn Designer Paper and the Beary Cute Bundle:
I wanted to create a scenery like Cindy did on the round layer so I chose an image from the Grassy Grove stamp set. I love the polar bear that I stamped and cut with the coordinating punch:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Beary Cute, Grassy Grove
- Inks: Misty Moonlight
- Cardstock: Boho Blue, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Beary Cute Punch, Stylish Shapes Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Blending Brushes
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Boho Blue Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″. Use a Blending Brush to add Misty Moonlight Ink on the center of the card base.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/2″ x 2-1/4″. Glue to card front about 3/4″ from the left side.
- Layer 3: Countryside Inn Designer Paper 4-1/4″ x 2″. Glue to white layer.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies 3″. Glue to card front about 1/2″ from the right side.
- Layer 5: Basic White Cardstock cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies 2-1/2″. Use the Blending Brush to add Misty Moonlight Ink to the top of the circle with a Blending Brush. Stamp the mountain image from the Grassy Grove stamp set with Misty Moonlight Ink at the bottom half of the circle. Glue circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the larger circle.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White Cardstock and cut close to the wording with a Paper Trimmer. Glue to card front, flat on the right side and with a Stampin’ Dimensional on the left side.
- Bear: Stamp the polar bear image on Basic White Cardstock with Misty Moonlight Ink. Cut with the punch and glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Snowflakes: Stamp three snowflake images using Misty Moonlight Ink.
