The Cork is addicting!
Yesterday I posted two cards using our new Cork Specialty Paper and today I have two more cards. If you missed yesterday’s creations, visit this POST.
For my first card I added a beautiful dragonfly on two tags that I created with the Cork Specialty Paper. I flipped one of the tags over to the wrong side to get the kraft paper look. Here are my steps:
- Card Base: Evening Evergreen Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: 2021-2023 In Color Designer Paper 5-1/4″ x 4″. Stamp the leaf image from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set repeatedly and diagonally from the bottom left corner to the top right using Evening Evergreen Ink. Glue to card base.
- Tags: Cut two pieces of the Cork Specialty Paper to measure 4″ x 2″. Use a Tag Topper Punch for the top of each tag (I grabbed a retired one in error). Flip one tag over to the wrong side. Layer them together and tie at the top with Linen Thread. Glue to card front as shown using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment of Evening Evergreen Cardstock that measures 2″ x 3/4″ using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Glue to the tag in the front about 1/4″ from the bottom.
- Dragonfly: Stamp the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden Bundle using VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Cut with the Dragonflies Punch. Glue to tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Decorative Matte Dots to the background.
For my second project, I created a Clean & Simple card with just a few layers:
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Early Espresso 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Basic White Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Stamp the splatter image in the center using Poppy Parade Ink from the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set. Set aside.
- Layer #3: Cut a piece of the Cork Specialty Paper to measure 3-1/2″ x 1″. Glue over the splatter image.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment below the cork and to the left using Poppy Parade Ink from the Welcoming Woods stamp set.
- Branch: Cut one branch using the Intricate Leaves Dies and Early Espresso Cardstock. Glue over the cork layer.
- Leaf: Cut one leaf using the Intricate Leaves Dies and Poppy Parade Cardstock. Tie a Linen Thread bow around the left. Glue over the branch and cork.
- Bling: Card Base: Evening Evergreen Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″.
