Sketch Challenge This Week!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary and this week we are all following the card sketch above. I love using sketches for my card layouts. This is my card:
I used the Blessings Of Home stamp set for the main image and also for my background image on the card base. The sentiment is white-embossed and I used a Blender Pen to add tone-on-tone coloring to my image:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Blessings Of Home, Fresh As A Daisy
- Cardstock: Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Basic White
- Inks: Highland Heather, Tahitian Tide, VersaMark
- Designer Paper: Fresh As A Daisy
- Tools & Accessories: Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powder, Classic Matte Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals. Blender Pen, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Highland Heather Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″. Stamp the large flower image at the top left corner and bottom right corner with Highland Heather Ink.
- Layer 2: Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper 5-1/2″ x 1″. Glue to card front vertically about 3/4″ from the left side.
- Layer 3: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″. Glue to card front about 1/2″ from the top and the left edge.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 3-1/2″ x 2-1/2″. Stamp the large flower image with Tahitian Tide Ink. Color the leaves with Tahitian Tide Ink and a Blender Pen. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals a little offset to the Gorgeous Grape layer.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 2-1/2″ x 3/4″ with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Trim both ends at an angle with Paper Snips. Add one Stampin’ Dimensionals to the right end and glue the other end flat over the stamped image layer.
- Bling: Add Classic Matte Dots to the background.
