It’s A Color Challenge With 3 Colors!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary. Such beautiful colors to pair together this week for our color challenge. I ended up with three cards because I used the Patchwork Pieces Dies with all three colors and interchanged them:
This is such a quick way to whip up three cards. Use the die with one color at a time and once all three colors are cut out, swap out the pieces evenly for each card. Here are some close-up photos and then I’ll give you the card recipe to follow:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Layering Leaves
- Cardstock: Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Bright & Beautiful
- Inks: Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo
- Tools & Accessories: 2″ Circle Punch, Decorative Circle Punch, Patchwork Pieces Dies, Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Three in Azure Afternoon, Lemon Lime Twist, Flirty Flamingo Cardstocks 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Three in Basic White Cardstock 4-7/8″ x 3-3/8″. Glue to each card base in the center.
- Layer 3: Use the Patchwork Pieces Dies and cut one each with Flirty Flamingo Cardstock and two sheets from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper (Lemon Lime Twist & Azure Afternoon). Place all 3 colors in front of you and swap out the layers so you have all three for each pattern. Glue to Basic White Cardstock layer.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock three times with each ink color. Cut with the 2″ Circle Punch. Layer over the shape cut with the Decorative Circle Punch in all three cardstock colors. Glue the coordinating color of the punch shape to the card base in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels to the background of each card.
Check out what the rest of our team is up to this week but visiting Create With Connie & Mary!
