A Sketch Challenge For Our Team!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary . It’s a sketch challenge this week and while I was cutting my designer paper, I made two cards!
Because I cut at a diagonal, I was able to use each piece to get the two patterns. I used a diecut branch in place of the small layer shown on the sketch:
Here are a few more photos and then I’ll list the card recipe:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Painted Lavender, Beautiful Balloons
- Cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Perennial Lavender
- Inks: Gorgeous Grape, Shaded Spruce
- Tools & Accessories: Painted Lavender Dies, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Nested Essential Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: (2) Shaded Spruce Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: (2) Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Set aside.
- Layer 3: (2) Perennial Lavender Designer Paper (same pattern) 5″ x 3-3/4″. Cut them both diagonally but in opposite directions and place each pattern on each card front. Flip one of eachGlue in place.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 6″ x 1/2″. Place over the seam where the two designer papers meet and glue in place. Trim the corners. Glue white layer to card base.
- Layer 5: Use the Nested Essential Dies 3″ x 2-3/8″ to cut 2 Shaded Spruce Cardstocks. Glue to the card front of each card, centered.
- Layer 6: Use the Nested Essential Dies 2-5/8″ x 1-7/8″ to cut 2 Basic White Cardstocks. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom of both with Shaded Spruce Ink. Stamp the flowers on the left with Gorgeous Grape Ink and stamp the butterflies on scrap paper first and then on the white layer with Shaded Spruce Ink. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Branch: Cut 2 branches with the die and Shaded Spruce Cardstock. Glue below the center layers.
- Bling: Add Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the background of each card.
