It’s A Color Challenge This Week!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary and we have three beautiful colors to work with this week for a color challenge. This is what I came up with:
I used the Easter Lilies Bundle and added a pretty butterfly from the Paper Butterfly Accents. These colors are non-traditional for an Easter card but I love the combo:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Easter Lilies
- Cardstock: Balmy Blue, Basic White, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly, Vellum
- Inks: Flirty Flamingo
- Tools & Accessories: Basic 3D Embossing Folders, Easter Lilies Dies, Perennial Postage Dies, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Balmy Blue Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Flirty Flamingo Cardstock 5″ x 3-3/4″. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Vellum Cardstock 4-3/4″ x 3″. Emboss with the dots from the Basic 3D Embossing Folder. Glue to the left side of the card front.
- Flowers: Stamp (3) large flowers and (1) of each of the two smaller flowers on Lemon Lolly Cardstock with Flirty Flamingo Ink. Cut with the dies. Glue one large flower and the two smaller flowers flat. Glue to two remaining large flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Balmy Blue Cardstock with Flirty Flamingo Ink. Cut with the Perennial Postage Dies 1-3/8″ x 1-3/8″. Glue to the right of the flowers.
- Bow: Create a bow with the Lemon Lolly Ribbon and glue to the bottom left corner of the sentiment layer with Mini Glue Dots.
- Butterfly: Glue a butterfly at the top right on the flower with Mini Glue Dots.
- Bling: Add Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to the vellum layer.
