It’s A Sketch Challenge This Week!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Connie & Mary . The sketch we are using this week is so versatile with so many options for designer paper, shapes and colors. This is what I came up with using the Beary Cute Bundle and Beary Christmas Designer Paper:
I used the Inked Lines Technique on my polar bear by having a Blender Pen ready to go and immediately using the stamped ink lines to spread a little bit of color. I use this technique often when I want to add subtle coloring:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Beary Cute
- Cardstock: Thick Very Vanilla, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Misty Moonlight
- Designer Paper: Beary Christmas
- Inks: Misty Moonlight
- Tools & Accessories: Blender Pens, Deckled Circles Dies, Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins, Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Very Vanilla 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Score at 4-1/4″.
- Layer 2: Beary Christmas Designer Paper 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.
- Layer 3: Misty Moonlight Cardstock 4″ x 1″. Glue to the center of the card front.
- Layer 4: Mossy Meadow Cardstock 3-1/2″ x 2″. Emboss with the Sky 3D Embossing Folder. Glue over the Misty Moonlight layer.
- Circles: Using the 2-1/8″ Deckled Circles Dies, cut (1) with Very Vanilla Cardstock and (1) with the Beary Christmas Designer Paper. Stamp the sentiment on the top of the vanilla circle with Misty Moonlight Ink. Glue both circles to card front.
- Gift: Cut a gift image from the designer paper with Paper Snips and glue to the left on the vanilla circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bear: Stamp the small bear on Basic White Cardstock using Misty Moonlight Ink. Use a Blender Pen and the inked lines to add subtle color. Glue bear overlapping the gift with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins to the designer paper circle.
