Summer Trees In Beautiful Colors!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a beautiful arrangement of trees looking up towards the sky:
I choose to replicate the position of the trees on my stamped layer and also used some of the same colors from the photo:
The Grassy Grove stamp set had a perfect tree image to use and all I did was use different ink colors to go around the edges of the white layer at an angle each time:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Grassy Grove
- Inks: Flirty Flamingo, Pecan Pie, Garden Green, Crushed Curry
- Cardstock: Flirty Flamingo, Pecan Pie, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Birchwood 3D Embossing Folder, Natural Tones Linen Thread, Perennial Postage Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Garden Green Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Crushed Curry Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Emboss with the Birchwood Embossing Folder. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Pecan Pie Cardstock cut with the 4-1/2 x 3-1/4 die. Wrap the twine around the shape twice and tie into a bow at the left. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock 4 x 2-3/4. Start with one ink color and stamp a few tree images on each side, pointing the tops of the trees towards the center. Switch inks and repeat until all 4 ink colors are used. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Flirty Flamingo Cardstock with Pecan Pie Ink. Cut around all four sides close to the wording. Glue to card front.
