It’s A Patriotic Inspiration Photo!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is this pretty photo just in time for our 4th of July week celebrations:
I love this photo and it was so easy to come up with something celebrating our Independance Day or 4th of July week. This is the card I created:
The Round We Go Bundle is a really neat bundle that allows you to use many dies to create pretty pinwheels. I also used the Iconic Celebrations Designer Paper that will be added to our Online Exclusives on July 3rd:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Round We Go
- Inks: VersaMark
- Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Blueberry Bushel, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Iconic Celebrations
- Tools & Accessories: Round We Go Dies, Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Basics Embossing Powders, Heat Tool
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Poppy Parade Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Blueberry Bushel Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Emboss with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. Glue to card front.
- Pinwheel: Poppy Parade Cardstock 4-1/4 x 3. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the sentiment at the bottom with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool.
- Stamp the Confetti image above the sentiment on both sides and at the two top corners with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool.
- Gluet to card front leaving 1/4″ spacing on the left side.
- Use the die for the big pinwheel and cut (2). Fold on the score lines in opposite directions. Glue both strips end to end to form a circle and press down to create the pinwheel. Cut a scrap of Basic White Cardstock to measure 2 x 2. Glue to the underside with liquid glue by adding something heavy on top to keep the pinwheel shape while drying. Once dry, glue to card front above the sentiment.
- Small pinwheel: Use the large flower-shaped pinwheel to cut one with Poppy Parade Cardstock. Set aside.
- Small pinwheel: Use the smaller flower-shaped pinwheel to cut one with Basic White Cardstock. Overlap and glue over the poppy parade pinwheel.
- Small circle: Use the small circle with the star embossing in the center to cut one with Blueberry Bushel Cardstock. Glue over the red & white pinwheel.
- Glue pinwheel to the center of the large pinwheel on the card front.
- Add Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the center of the pinwheel and around the confetti.
