Reindeer Fun!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a photo full of holiday reindeer:
I opted to choose the reindeer theme with the Reindeer Fun Bundle for my card this week:
I also added a gorgeous triple bow using the Pretty In Pink Bordered Ribbon. I used a little trick of the eyes for the wreath behind Momma reindeer by first die-cutting the wreath, adding a cut through the wreath with a snip of my Paper Snips and placing it around the neck. I positioned the cut slit behind the neck so you can’t see it!
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Reindeer Fun
- Inks: Early Espresso
- Cardstock: Garden Green, Soft Sea Foam, Pretty In Pink, Basic White, Crumb Cake
- Designer Paper: Take A Bow
- Tools & Accessories: Reindeer Fun Dies, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Pretty In Pink Bordered Ribbon, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Garden Green Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4-1/8. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Take A Bow Designer Paper (3) 5 x 1-1/2. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock cut with the 3-1/4″ wide die. Cut the long end again to measure 2-5/8″ long. Glue to card front about 1″ from the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Reindeer: Stamp the reindeer image on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. Cut with the die. Set aside.
- Wreath: Cut 1 wreath with Garden Green Cardstock and the die. Snip through the wreath with Paper Snips. Insert around the mother deer’s neck. Position the slit so you can’t see it. Glue to Soft Sea Foam layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Pretty In Pink Cardstock 1/2″ wide with Early Espresso Ink. Cut the wording into two layers. Glue to the left below the reindeer layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bow: Create a triple bow with the ribbon and glue to the bottom right under the reindeer.
- Bling: Add Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to the designer paper background.
