Winterly Tree Tops!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a photo of a pretty bird and some pretty colors:
I used the bird theme and also some of the colors as my inspiration:
I used our Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and added two colors: Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight to the background with Waterpainters and spritzing water beforehand:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Winterly Tree Tops
- Inks: Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, StazOn Jet Black
- Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Basic White, Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper
- Designer Paper: Perennial Lavendar
- Tools & Accessories: Water Painter, Blender Pen, Watercolor Pencils, Winterly Tree Tops Dies, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Daffodil Delight Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Perennial Lavender Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 3. Glue 1/2″ from the left side.
- Layer 3: Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper 4-1/4 x 3. Spritz with water and add drops of ink color using a Water Painter and the two ink colors. Allow to dry. Glue to card front 1/2″ from the right side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Branches: Stamp 2 of the branch image with StazOn Jet Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Add color with the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. Cut with the die and glue to the center of the watercolor paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bird: Stamp the bird image with StazOn Jet Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Add color with the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. Cut with the die and glue to the center of the branches with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the watercolor background.
