Frosted Forest Bundle & Masks!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is creating a project using this photo:
Don’t you just love the colors showing with all of the trees and foliage? I tried to depict the photo closely by using the Frosted Forest Bundle:
The bundle includes layering masks so you can add layers of colors on top of each other to create depth and dimension:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Frosted Forest
- Inks: Cajun Craze, Shaded Spruce, Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie
- Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Basic White
- Stampin’ Blends: Pecan Pie
- Tools & Accessories: Frosted Forest Dies, Frosted Forest Decorative Masks, Blender Pen, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Blending Brushes
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Daffodil Delight Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Use the mask for the evergreen trees and add ink color with Shaded Spruce Ink lightly and a Blending Brush. Move the mask up and to the right a little and add another layer of Shaded Spruce ink, applied heavy this time. Add as many trees as you like. I added one large tree on the right and layered two small trees on the left. Glue layer to card front.
- Trees: Stamp 3 branch trees on Basic White Cardstock with Cajun Craze Ink. Use the masks to add a layer of Daffodil Delight Ink and a layer of Cajun Craze Ink. Shade the tree trunks with the mask and Pecan Pie Ink. Cut the trees with the die. Cut one in half vertically. Glue all of the trees to the card front at different heights with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Trim to fit.
- Bird: Stamp the bird image at the top with Cajun Craze Ink. Use the inked lines to add a little bit of color with a Blender Pen.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Cajun Craze Ink on Daffodil Delight Cardstock 3 x 1/2. Glue over the trees.
