Frozen Edges Diecut Snowflakes & Icicles!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. It’s starting to get colder outdoors now that November is here. This week’s inspiration challenge is this photo:
At Stampin’ Up!, we happen to have a neat bundle called Frozen Edges and we have the neatest dies to create icicles & snowflakes. Take a peek:
I have one layer of snowflakes and two layers of icicles at the very top of my card. There are two separate dies in this bundle that include a die that cuts a cluster of snowflakes and the other dies is a string of icicyles. You can see in the details below that I layered all three Basic White Cardstock layers on top of each other:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Frozen Edges
- Inks: Gorgeous Grape
- Cardstock: Gorgeous Grape, Fresh Freesia, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Frozen Edges Dies, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack, Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Fresh Freesia Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Stamp the sentiment at the bottom right with Gorgeous Grape Ink. Stamp a few snowflakes around the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape Ink. Set layer aside.
- Snowflake Die: Cut (1) with Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 2″. Glue to the top of the Fresh Freesia layer.
- Icicle Die: Cut (2) with Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 1-1/2. Stagger the die a little so they won’t line up with each other. Glue both layers over the snowflake layer.
- Ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the diecut layers about 1/2″ from the top. Glue wrapper around the back. Glue layer to card front.
- Snowflakes: Add 3 of the smaller Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment around the stamped snowflakes.
- Bling: Add Basic Rhinestone Jewels around the snowflakes.
