Grassy Grove And A Scenic Theme!
Happy Tuesday and welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Tuesday. For the whole month of August, we have created projects with this theme:
Last week I spoke about the leaves in Maine during the upcoming months. Today is all about our wildlife. From September to the end of November, we have many types of hunting seasons. A lot of people depend on game for the winter months. I thought the deer image from the Grassy Grove stamp set was perfect to depict this:
I stamped a hilly background and added trees and weeds to the forefront:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Grassy Grove
- Inks: Pecan Pie, Pebbled Path, Shaded Spruce
- Cardstock: Pebbled Path, Basic White, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam, Basic Beige
- Tools & Accessories: Grove Dies, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pebbled Path Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Stamp the large mountain image three times without reinking with Pebbled Path Ink. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Shaded Spruce Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Use the tree scenery die and set aside.
- Layer 4: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock stamped with the weeds image. Repeat twice. Cut with the die. Glue peeking through the bottom of the shaded spruce layer. Glue layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Deer: Stamp the deer on Basic Beige Cardstock with Pecan Pie Ink. Cut with the die. Tuck and glue to the back of the weeds.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 2-1/2 x 1 with Pecan Pie Ink. Cut the right end with Paper Snips into a banner shape. Glue to card front at the top left corner.
