Sweetest Star & A Christmas Theme!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week. Since this is a new month, here is our new theme for November:
I have used the Sweetest Star Bundle quite a bit recently. I love how quickly you can stamp the Santa star, color with Stampin’ Blends and cut with the coordinating punch:
Did you notice those tiny peppermints? They come in 3 sizes are so adorable. I also used the Take A Bow Designer Paper in 1″ strips for the background:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sweetest Star
- Inks: Real Red, Garden Green
- Cardstock: Soft Sea Foam, Basic White
- Stampin’ Blends: Real Red, Basic Black, Ivory
- Designer Paper: Take A BowTools & Accessories: Sweetest Star Punch, Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Set aside.
- Designer Paper: 3 strips 6″ x 1″. Glue to the white layer at an angle and cut off the excess on the ends. Glue layer to card base.
- Star: Use the punch to cut one Soft Sea Foam star shape. Glue to the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Santa Star: Stamp the Santa Star image on Basic White Cardstock with Real Red Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut with the punch and glue layered over the Soft Sea Foam star with multipurpose glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on a 1/2 strip of Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with Garden Green Ink. Cut into two lines. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints to the Soft Sea Foam star.
