Last Week Using A Summer Theme!
Good Morning and welcome to Creatively Simple at Create With Stamping Friends. All month long we have been using SUMMER as our theme:
I used some vibrant colors from the Full Of Life Designer Paper along with some cute dragonfly images from the Happiest Day stamp set:
The dragonflies are a two-step stamping image which means I stamped the outline first and then added color to the inside with another stamp image. I also fussy-cut both of my dragonflies:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Happiest Day
- Inks: Blackberry Bliss, Petunia Pop, Azure Afternoon
- Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Full Of Life
- Tools & Accessories: Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Blackberry Bliss 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Set aside.
- Layer 3: Full Of Life Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Cut in half and flip one piece to the 2nd side. Glue to white layer. Set aside.
- Ribbon: Add Tear & Tape where the two designer papers meet. Press and wrap the ribbon around the back of the white layer and glue to the back of the cardstock. Glue layer to card front.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment at the top left with Blackberry Bliss.
- Dragonflies: Stamp 2 dragonflies on Basic White Cardstock with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Stamp as follows:
- Large wing, stamp one with Petunia Pop Ink
- Small wing, stamp with Petunia Pop Ink on scrap paper first and without reinking, stamp for a lighter color.
- Large wing, stamp one with Azure Afternoon Ink
- Small wing, stamp with Azure Afernoon Ink on scrap paper first and without reinking, stamp for a lighter color.
- Handcut
- Gluet o card front at the top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
