Case The Catalog Week 1!
Happy 4th of July! It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends. We are going to have some exciting challenge team assignments for the month of July. Each week for the whole month, we are Casing The Catalog! That means we will have one sample project from the catalog for inspiration, just like this one:
We can pick the colors, the layout, the theme, anything that strikes our fancy. I chose to replicate the layout with this card:
I stamped on a pretty tag that I cut with the Something Fancy Dies and added ribbon and Linen Thread at the end. The sentiment was cut close to the lettering with my Paper Snips:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Country Flowers
- Cardstock: Soft Sea Foam, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Full Of Life
- Inks: Petunia Pop, Real Red
- Stampin’ Blends: Petunia Pop, Soft Sea Foam
- Tools & Accessories: Something Fancy Dies, Linen Thread Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Full Of Life Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Basic White Cardstock cut with the tag from Something Fancy Dies. Glue the flower image with Petunia Pop Ink and color with Stampin’ Blends. Cut a piece of Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon about 1-1/2″ long and place inside the hole. Fold in half and tie Linen Thread around the ribbon into a bow.
- Use the tag as a guide for stamping on the designer paper. Place it on the designer paper and stamp the small image with Real Red Ink around and under the tag.
- Glue the tag in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with Real Red Ink. Cut close to the lettering with Paper Snips. Glue to tag with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
