Sweetest Star & A Color Challenge!
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . We have 3 beautiful colors to use on our projects today:
I chose to use the Sweetest Star Bundle and I love the Mrs. Claus image. The bundle includes a star punch so it’s quick and easy to stamp, color and punch out the shape!
The holly & berries paper I used from the Reindeer Days Designer Paper is a pretty layer that I added to my card. It coordinates well with our colors this week. I also colored the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sweetest Star
- Cardstock: Garden Green, Early Espresso, Real Red, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Reindeer Days
- Inks: Garden Green
- Stampin’ Blends: Real Red, Gray Granite, Ivory
- Tools & Accessories: Sweetest Star Punch, Stylish Shapes Dies, Paper Snips, Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Garden Green Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Reindeer Days Designer Paper 5 x 3-3/4. Glue to card front.
- Layer 4: Real Red Cardstock 4-1/4 x 2-1/2. Use Paper Snips to create a banner shape on the right end. Glue to card front centered.
- Layer 5: Early Espresso Cardstock 4 x 2. Use Paper Snips to create a banner shape on the right end. Glue to Real Red banner.
- Layer 6: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 3″ circle from Stylish Shapes Dies. Place the sentiment at a curve on a Clear Block and stamp at the bottom of the circle with Garden Green Ink. Glue circle to banners with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Mrs. Claus: Stamp the image on Basic White Cardstock with Garden Green Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends. Use the star punch to cut and glue to circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the banner.
