Gifts For My Three Grandgirls!
Happy Halloween everyone! What a scary time we live in though, that we have to make sure our kiddo’s are safe and that what they are receiving is safe. I am actually traveling today so I can help my daughter Jessica with the three K’s. I called them the three K’s: Kaitlynn, Kylee and Kassie.
We are taking them to a local Trunk or Treat which is pretty neat. It’s just a bunch of cars lined up at the local playground and each person opens up their trunks to reveal Halloween decorations & lights and handing out treats. Everyone pretty much knows each other. Once that’s overwith, we will take the girls to a few homes that they know. It’s too risky to go to unknown homes at this era of our time. If you are venturing out tonight, please check all of your kiddo’s treats and be aware of your surroundings. So many warnings on news channels about false copycat candies that are not candies at all. So sad.
I had some retired boxes from a few years ago that were sold in one of our Stampin’ Up! catalogs. I’m guessing on these because I did not measure them, but they are probably about 5″ x 5″. It was fun to add a designer paper belly band and decorate the tops:
I used the Bewitching stamp set and the pretty background diecut from the Chic Dies. I also used some retired Black Glimmer Paper that I kept a stash of, and I love the way it sparkles.
You’ll never guess where the sentiment layer comes from. I had to cut a bunch of frames from the Fancy Frames Dies for a swap that I completed. If you look at the photo below at the frame on the right, look at the inside of the frame:
The shape was perfect to use and they were left-overs so I was happy to be able to use them on each box. It truly is a beautiful shape.
I wrapped two 4″ strips of the Sun Prints Designer Paper around the box to create a bellyband and everything was glued on top. So fun and I hope the girls love them.
