Mellow Yellow Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! This week for our month-long celebration of songs with colors in the title, we are using Mellow Yellow from Donovan. I used two yellows on my card today:
Wild Wheat and Crushed Curry. Don’t the two yellows look fabulous together? I also used one of the panels from the preprinted sheets in the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper. Look how pretty this panel is with the addition of diecuts:
Here’s the how-to:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Cheerful Daisies
- Inks: Wild Wheat
- Designer Paper: Fresh As A Daisy
- Cardstock: Wild Wheat, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Cheerful Daisies Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Crushed Curry Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Wild Wheat Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Use the designer paper sheet from Fresh As A Daisy that has all of the preprinted panels on it and cut the same one I used to measure 5″ x 3-3/4″. Glue to card front.
- Daisies: Use the large daisy die to cut the three daisies with Basic White Cardstock. Cut the flowers apart with Paper Snips. Glue the large one to the right about 1-1/2″ from the bottom and flat. Set the other two aside.
- Layer 4: Crushed Curry Cardstock 3-3/4″ x 1/2″. Glue over the bottom of the diecut daisy on the card front.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock with Wild Wheat Ink. Cut with the label die. Glue to the left of on the Crushed Curry Cardstock strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Daisies: Glue the two remaining daisies with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals tucked under the sentiment at the top and one to the right of the sentiment.
- Branch: Cut the branch with the die and Early Espresso Cardstock. Tuck under the daisy at the top of the sentiment and glue flat.
- Leaves: Use the large daisy die to cut the two leaves with Crushed Curry Cardstock. Tuck and glue under the daisies.
- Color the Early Espresso flower centers and stems on the preprinted layer with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Color the branch as well.
